Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp espresso powder (optional)
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add the sugar and stir until well combined. Remove the saucepan from heat.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Add the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, espresso powder (if using), and vanilla extract to the mixture,stirring until smooth.
- Add the flour and chocolate chips, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out with a fewmoist crumbs attached.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
