  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, more or less, totaste
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley


  • Begin by cooking the linguine in a large stockpot according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta cooks, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of shrimp, 1 tablespoon of fresh minced garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of white wine and 1/4 cup of lemon juice into the skillet, then season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then remove from heat.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce and toss everything together to ensure the pasta is coated in the sauce. You can sprinkle 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese and 2 tablespoons of fresh chopped parsley on top of the pasta for garnish if desired.
  • Serve the Shrimp Scampi Linguine immediately and enjoy!
