- 3 cups diced cooked chicken
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided use
- salt and pepper to taste
- cooking spray
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, take a 3-quart baking dish and coat it with cooking spray.
- In a large pan over medium heat, melt some butter. Add some garlic and cook it for 30 seconds. Then, whisk in some flour and continue cooking for 1 minute.
- Pour some milk and cream into the pan and simmer the mixture while whisking constantly. Stop simmering when the sauce has just thickened.
- To the milk mixture, add some parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and some salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir the cheese mixture until the cheese has melted.
- Take a large bowl and put some pasta and chicken into it. Pour the sauce over the top and toss everything together until it's coated evenly.
- Pour the pasta mixture into the baking dish you prepared earlier. Top it off with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake the pasta dish in the oven, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until the pasta is bubbly and the cheese on top has just started to brown.
- Once the pasta dish is done, take it out of the oven and sprinkle some parsley over the top. Then, it's ready to serve!
