Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces penne pasta cooked in salted water according to package directions
  • 3 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided use
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, take a 3-quart baking dish and coat it with cooking spray.
  • In a large pan over medium heat, melt some butter. Add some garlic and cook it for 30 seconds. Then, whisk in some flour and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  • Pour some milk and cream into the pan and simmer the mixture while whisking constantly. Stop simmering when the sauce has just thickened.
  • To the milk mixture, add some parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and some salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir the cheese mixture until the cheese has melted.
  • Take a large bowl and put some pasta and chicken into it. Pour the sauce over the top and toss everything together until it's coated evenly.
  • Pour the pasta mixture into the baking dish you prepared earlier. Top it off with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake the pasta dish in the oven, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until the pasta is bubbly and the cheese on top has just started to brown.
  • Once the pasta dish is done, take it out of the oven and sprinkle some parsley over the top. Then, it's ready to serve!
