For the cream cheese frosting:

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
In another mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla extract, and whitevinegar until smooth.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 of the way full.
Bake the cupcakes for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool completely before frosting.
For the cream cheese frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
Frost the cupcakes as desired and enjoy!
